| BPA Campaign |
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a toxic chemical linked to breast cancer and other diseases found in polycarbonate plastic that is widely used to make baby bottles, sippy cups, teethers, toys, pacifiers, and utensils. It is also in the epoxy resins used to line canned food, including baby formula. A recent study shows that BPA may lessen the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. We delivered over 8,000 petitions to Governor Patrick requesting that DPH ban BPA from children's products! Thanks to everyone who signed the online petition. Read the story in the Boston Globe about this action!
